overview
Old myths used to say that the hottest water spring in Oman, is in Rustaq region called Al Kasfah spring till last few years it was proved that the hottest is within the circle of capital city of Oman. its locate in Muscat governant at the village of Al Hamam, its only around 20 mnts from the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. the village is a great escap from the rushing cars in town, its so calm and farms with varous trees, more specificaly is palm trees. here you can enjoy watching the falaj irrigation system followed by hikking on a easy and fun loop trail within the village, where the trail will take you past farms, water irrigation system, old mud houses and through the alleys of falaj and to the hottest spring in Oman called ayn Al Hammam ( Al Hammam spring ) .
There is two stories regarding this hot spring, one it was from the past day and i haven’t lived it while the second I have seen it on video which went viral during last four years. lets beggin with the lighter story, it was said via the word of elders that a camel fell into the well and was fully cooked due to the heat while the second one say there was two guys from a friendly country were challing that the other to jump and that he will give him money if he did that, unfortunatly the guy jumped without testing the water heat and immeditely he was heated till they had to call an ambulance to take him. the guy was admited at the ICU room due to the extrem burn.
The level of the spring have lowered, which it have involved to use pimps to pump it to the water irrigation path, at beggining they use the normal pumps but it could handle the heat which lead to melting of internal pump. i have attached the modern metal pump that they are using it
